Dr. ErelL Germia

Erell successfully defended her dissertation in July 2022. The title of her dissertation is “Investigating Elementary School Students’ Reasoning about Dynamic Angles.”

Erell accepted a tenured-track position as an Assistant Professor at Kean University.

Dr. Debasmita Basu

Debasmita successfully defended her dissertation "Examining students' covariational reasoning through mathematical modeling activitities embedded in the context of the Greenhouse effect" in June 2019.

She is currently an Assistant Professor of Quantitative and Mathematics Reasoning at the New School in NYC.

Amanda provost

Amanda is a full-time doctoral student working as a graduate research assistant for the projects ACMES and DYME-A

Her dissertation research focuses on mathematical modeling and the integration of mathematics and science.

Toni york

Toni is a full-time doctoral student working as a graduate research assistant for the project ACMES.

Her dissertation research focuses on the integration of mathematics with computer science and computational thinking.

su san lim

Su San is a full-time doctoral student working as a graduate research assistant for the project ACMES.

Her dissertation research focuses on students' learning of vectors.

Adam anderson

Adam is a part-time doctoral student exploring students' response to equitable materials in mathematics. He is currently working as a high school teacher and as an adjunct instructor at Montclair State University.

Frank Forte

Frank is a part-time doctoral student that aims to examine pre-service teachers' problem solving and design scaffolds for supporting them.

He is currently working as a full-time instructor at Raritan Valley Community College and as an adjunct instructor at Montclair State University.
